Lift your pinkies at Mizner’s ArtWalk

Dahling, if you’ve already brushed the Pomeranians and polished the silver but now you fancy some mingling with the socialites, tell your driver to head to Mizner Park (433 Plaza Real, Boca Raton) for ArtWalk. Taking place the last Wednesday of each month, this event showcases an assortment of art styles by Artist Guild of the Boca Raton Museum of Art members. Today’s show will feature Jerry Truman’s “Soda Pop Art” made from cans, Norah Silva’s intense photographs of nature, Stanford Slutsky’s acrylic and wood optical illusions, Debra Caplan’s glazed ceramic sculptures, and Kelli Jean’s surrealism-meets-pop-art creations. View their works, sip wine, listen to music, and browse the shops from 6 to 9 p.m. Admission is free, but since you can afford it, you might want to drop a few bucks on some art — a percentage of sales goes to support the Museum. Call 561-393-9115 for more information, or visit www.bocamuseumartistguild.org/events.
Last Wednesday of every month. Starts: Aug. 27. Continues through Dec. 31, 2008
