Published on August 21, 2008 at 12:00am
Dahling, if youve already brushed the Pomeranians and polished the silver but now you fancy some mingling with the socialites, tell your driver to head to Mizner Park (433 Plaza Real, Boca Raton) for ArtWalk. Taking place the last Wednesday of each month, this event showcases an assortment of art styles by Artist Guild of the Boca Raton Museum of Art members. Todays show will feature Jerry Trumans Soda Pop Art made from cans, Norah Silvas intense photographs of nature, Stanford Slutskys acrylic and wood optical illusions, Debra Caplans glazed ceramic sculptures, and Kelli Jeans surrealism-meets-pop-art creations. View their works, sip wine, listen to music, and browse the shops from 6 to 9 p.m. Admission is free, but since you can afford it, you might want to drop a few bucks on some art a percentage of sales goes to support the Museum. Call 561-393-9115 for more information, or visit www.bocamuseumartistguild.org/events.
Last Wednesday of every month. Starts: Aug. 27. Continues through Dec. 31, 2008
