Play Wii with Mii

Go For the Gold

Those Olympic athletes may have earned medals for their superhuman feats, but let me ask you this: Can they beat Cashetta, South Florida’s most prolific drag magician and entertainer, in a game of Wii Bowling? And with one hand tied up with a cocktail? Unlikely! But you, my friend… you can try every Monday at 6 p.m. and Wednesday at 9 p.m. when Bill’s Filling Station (2209 Wilton Dr., Wilton Manors) holds Play Wii with Mii, hosted by Cashetta.

This post-modern competition of skill is a little bit like the Olympics, only instead of getting a medal for your victories you get handed free booze. (If you rock a particularly nasty split in bowling or score over 200, you’ll get a shot or drink. Cool!) To accommodate the Wii madness, Bill’s cordons off a whole section of the bar, projects the games onto a large screen, and invites up to four players to throw down at once on games like tennis, baseball, boxing, skee ball, and shuffleboard. Since Van Gogh vodka drinks are just $5 and martinis $7, you’re sure to be entertained even if you can’t virtually score. Plus there’s no cover, and it’s free to play. So what are you waiting for?
